The Graveyard: Jazz Fest 2009


These gentlemen also had a significant impact on the promotion and success of Jazz Fest. Included in this post are Al Hirt, Don "Moose" Jamison, Ed Bradley, and Odell Lawson. Mr. Hirt was a famous New Orleans trumpet player. Mr. Jamison was a noted DJ of WWOZ as well as one of this cities finest musicians, Mr. Bradley was a CBS international correspondent that was a strong lover of Jazz as an art form. He wrote and promoted Jazz Fest as the most wonderful musical experience on the planet. Mr. Lawson established the security team that supervises that type activity at the festival. He was also an ex NFL athlete that was in love with the festival and dedicated much of his life to improvements in security at the festival.
